"Camera Cover"

Cover Camera Page is an awesome feature to help your friends, family members and beloved pets become a magazine cover model. You can take a new photo and insert it into a cover template and then email it or share on Facebook, send an e-mail or save it to Photo Library.

In order to add a new Camera Cover Page to your app, go to Edit Pages menu then click the "+" (Add New Page) button. From the SeattleCloud Marketplace find Camera Cover page type. Click on it to add to your application.

Once the page is added, you are able to proceed with editing mode.

On the right side there are 3 fields that should be edited to get a fully customizable and functional Camera Cove Page . Specifically, you will find 2 major fields: Camera Cover Resources and Cover Properties. In Camera Cover Resources you have to set up the e-mail address to which the users will send their covers(the e-mail address can be changed from the device). Below you have to add the number of covers you want to use for Camera Cover Page; press "+" button to add covers or "-" to remove the existing.

In Cover Properties you have to set for each Cover added in Camera Cover Resources an image for it(e.g. magazine cover).

Let's see how it works on the device

We can see three buttons. Click on the top-right to take a photo.

After you have taken a photo, you will be able to apply the covers you have set in the edit mode on the website.

The images taken using Camera Cover Page can be send to an e-mail, shared on Facebook or saved in the Photo Library of your device. Moreover, you can draw on it or rename the image. All of this is available on the cover's dashboard.

There is also a possibility to delete all the covers that have been made. Press on the "Clear" button to delete the covers.

**NOTE: This page can be tested ONLY using SeattleCloud's AppPreviewer application.

Hey this is interesting, do we have the ability to transform the template of magasine cover to something of our own choosing?

Hi Dan,

You may edit or add your own cover templates. The templates are images files, so feel free to create and design your own templates (images) and add them to the page.

Users may want to upload their photos to Facebook. Can you suggest the best way to make that possible?

Hi Jennifer,

At the moment it is not possible to upload photos directly from Camera Cover Page to Facebook. We will discuss this with the team for  adding this option for the future.

Thank You.

This is a wonderful concept.

Can we use this with the front-facing camera, so I can take a picture of myself on the magazine cover?

The page was designed to open the back camera because it has higher resolution and the pictures will be will have a better quality.

Thank You.

Love the idea of this but wondering
If it is possible to import a photo from the camera roll ( or does the photo have to be taken and dropped right into the template. )- and ....
can it be saved to the camera roll ?

Think it would add a lot more  user value to it.

Hi Frank,

At the moment it is not possible to add photos from Camera Roll or save them there. But we are working to add this features and they will be available soon.
Thank You for your feedback.

Can you please list the requirements for the cover images here for everyone?  i tried creating an image in photoshop with the opacity but its still too dark for the pic to show through.   Thanks

Hello Michael,

There are no specific requirements for the cover images. However it is recommended for the images to be PNG format with transparency enabled.

best regards,
SC Team.
