Greetings to all SC customers,

We are happy to announce that the first step of Content Delivery Network (CDN) integration is already done and available on SeattleClouds website.

At the moment this feature is available only on SeattleClouds website for iOS & Android Apps/Devices. White Label Resellers do not have this feature yet.

This feature is working at the moment in Test Flight mode. This week we will monitor how CDN is working on SeattleClouds website.

If any questions or issues appear, please open a support ticket.

At the moment, you may see in your app dashboard a new button 'Push to CDN'

* This button is available only if the app is PAID ( is covered by an active subscription plan )

In this tutorial I will try to explain the meaning of this button.

 

According to this scheme, there are two Environments. You have the possibility to manage which resources are sent to the Live version of the app ( Production Environment ).

Previewers Apps will look for resources on SeattleClouds Website ( Development Environment ) This will allow you to preview the app before sending the resources to the live app.

SYNC and Builded/Published apps will look for the resources on CDN ( Production Environment )

Let's presume that you have an app on SC website and you need to change something small in the app, like some images or a HTML file. You may effectuate these changes without affecting the live version of the app, which real users are using.

As soon as you changed something in your app, you may preview your changes using our Previewer Apps, if everything is looking and working as expected, you may press on 'Push to CDN' this will copy the last modified resources from SeattleClouds to CDN storage.

*Please note that all the files are copied instantly to CDN, however, there may be a delay in showing the changed content. This delay may be up to five minutes.

Our changes are substantial so we will be republishing the app. This will be nice for future updates, but it does not solve our current problem of no back button on iOS.

After this feature has been introduced below are some of the serious problems I've faced and I want you guys to remove this feature immediately.

1, Most of the images are broken and some of the pages are not opening.
2, Syncing takes around 3-5 min
3, out of 2000 installs of my per day more than 1500 are uninstalling.
4, I'am loosing around $200- $250 per day.

I want this to be fixed immediately or remove this feature

Hello intryn,

Please note that SYNC is used in order to synchronize small files/items.

It is used in order to add a small file like a HTML, CSS, Images, text, update menu order.

If you are adding new content, more than 10 items to your app, you need to request a new submission process.

Building a new APK will reduce the time spent on SYNC at the start up of the app.

Hi,

I have a photo gallery in the app. If I wanted to add 30 more photos, should I submit a new app or can I upload 10 each time?

Hello,

You can add the photos using the sync option.

There is no need to update the application in such cases.

I have changed an HTML file on one of my apps. It was a text that I changed, then I pushed to CDN as instructed waited more than an hour and I cannot see the change on the app.

Any Help is much appreciated and I have also posted a ticket regarding this issue as well.

I have have the same issue

I changed an HTML file on one of my apps. It was a text that I changed, then I pushed to CDN as instructed waited more than an hour and I cannot see the change on the app. ANY HELP??

This is not working I have lost view of all my files. Look all my pages show up for a brief second when I click done

There is a very big problem with synchronization.
Some of the customers who download the app all work properly and some see it before the update.
You have to fix it.
I've already opened a ticket several times and nothing helps. I also see that many more people complain about it.
