Sharing is one of the most important function an application could have. SeattleCloud comes with the "App Share" feature that helps users to communicate about their app via E-mail or Facebook.

Sharing increases app's visibility:
- Provides impressions in the Facebook News Feed
- Sharing the app drives traffic and app installs

To add "App Share" page you need to access the Application's Dashboard and go to "Edit Pages" section.  Click on Add Page button "+" to add a feature to your application. You will be redirected to the Marketplace where you may find different pages for the app. You may use search to find a specific features or sort by the "Page Type categories", "Platforms" , "Authors" to find the appropriate one.

Once added you may go to Edit the page.

Page Properties

1. App Name - Enter the Application's Name
2. Icon - Select the application's icon with a maximum resolution of 100x100 pixel
3. App Description - Add App Description that will be displayed on the page itself
4. Share Description - Add a short description of the app that will be shown in the E-mail or Facebook share message you will send.
5. App Store/Google Play/ Kindle Fire -  Insert the links of the Application from the App Store: Google Play Store for Android App/ Apple App Store for iOS App/ Amazon App Store for Kindle App.
6. Default URL - check one URL which you would like to be used by default when Sharing is not allowing more than one URL ( for example 'Facebook' )

You need to have SYNC enabled for the App Share page in the Resource Manager to be able to add the corresponding links once the application  will be live on the Store.

The results of using App Share page type looks in this way:

What has happened to Facebook share button? Now it's only a single share button which goes into share via email.

Hello, Bryan

At this moment we don't have this option available, we will try to add this functionality in the future.

Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Andy,

In order to use the "Share on Facebook" feature, you need to set up your Facebook API Key and Facebook App Secret in Application Dashboard > Application Settings > Facebook.

Does this page require a new build and approval to Apple before it works?

I have followed all the steps above on apps that are currently in the App store, my email and Facebook API Key an Secret are set up, sync is enabled, Application settings enabled, sharing is enabled in Page settings. I have sync'd apps (it is working as I have sync'd other things since).

Page appears, but when I click the share by email or facebook, nothing happens.

Please let me know if a new build is required, otherwise I need to put in a ticket.

Thanks in advance.

is there a way where somebody shares your app & it doesnt have

Name Of App

its pointless to have somebody share the app when the build site shows up on the share link, it dont make sense letting everybody know where we built the users app, its pretty much saying "hey if you want to make apps in your area go to this site"
I insist that your point be noted and taken care of. Otherwise it is useless.
Why build site shows up on the share link?
has this been resolved? will this link go once we have created our own facebook app?

can the SC logo and text be removed after signing in on Facebook from this Share page?

"SeattleClouds will receive the following info: your public profile etc..?
This does not let SeattleClouds post to your Facebook etc.."

Yes, it can be removed and replaced with your logo and brand name.
Please open a support ticket if you need help with this.

thanks! I'll try to figure this out.

I also read through the instructions for sharing an app on Facebook. I checked the resource manager and did not find a file called "appshare.html"

Do you know where I can find this file?

It may be named differently in your app. It is the page file created when you added AppShare page type. Open a support ticket to get dedicated help specific to your application files and configuration.
