Calendar page

Calendar type page is a native page allowing to organize and keep track of the events in your agenda.

The elements of the this page type are currently not customizable and the image in the Edit mode also has no clickable areas, thus the calendar can only be previewed in the Seattle Clouds previewer app for iPhone.

Calendar page as seen on the device:

New events can be added with the "+" plus button.

Tapping on "New Event" you can specify a title for the event.

Also you can select from the list of event categories.

You can specify a beginning and an ending date/time for the event.

When done with specifications the event will be listed in the calendar.

Outdated or cancelled events can be deleted.

In the "Day" view mode one can see the hours of the event.

Each event category can be distinguished by its color.

Hi Vadim,

Any code or way of saving to calendar within the phone and not just in the app ?

anthony

Anthony,
the Calendar page type described above is meant to be used in a SC app. And the customizations options available for this Calendar will only be available in the apps you create.
To organise your events list without the phone (not SC app) you may have to use Apple's Calendar app.

Is there a way to allow multiple users to use the same calendar from their own smartphone?  If, yes how can it be made secure.

Thank you
John

John,
implementing such functionality will involve storing on a server the calendar data as well as logins/ passwords of users sharing this calendar. Security can be implemented at various levels.
Please submit a support ticket with detailed description of the feature and we will provide you with an estimate.

how come when i preview the calendar on the sc app it isnt working?

Mike,
1. ensure that you have the latest version of SC http://itunes.apple.com/app/seattle-clouds/id348469543?mt=8
2. try converting the problematic page to calendar type page (this will overwrite settings and data)
3. check in app.xml that type is set correctly (calendar) for your calendar type page:
<page id="calendar.html" type="calendar" title="Calendar"... />
4. submit a support ticket specifying app and page.

Is it possible to have a calendar page in the app, but on another page in the app have some sort of button or link saying "add to calendar" and it adds it to the calendar within the app? (Thinking of use for a conference - listing sessions on one page, each with an 'add to calendar' link, and attendees can click the links to add to the conference calendar within the app, so they can make their own itinerary)
Hi, Glenn. Did you ever get a result on this question? It seems a brilliant idea for many purposes.
I'm extremely interested in this. Also an alert that "if use allows notifications" will signal them five minutes (or whatever) before the next event begins.

Hi Glenn,

For any technical questions please open a support ticket and we will gladly help you.
