Greetings,

Google released few updates over night and many of you received a strange error message related your app in Google Play Developer Console.

"Your app contains an unsafe unzipping pattern that may lead to a Path Traversal vulnerability. Please see this Google Help Center article to learn how to fix the issue."

SeattleCloud Team is aware and already working on this problem.

After a short investigation, we found that the issue is related to Expansion Files functionality, which I'am sure not many of you are using.

However, our team main priority is to fix this problem as soon as possible.

We will update this forum thread as soon as the issue will be fixed with the next instructions.

Don't hesitate to contact us if any questions appear.

Best regards,
SC Team

Update May 24 2019

SeattleCloud Team managed to fix this problem. Fix related this issue was deployed already to Production Server.

All you need to do is to request a new submission process ( instant build submission type ) for your app and update it on Google Play Store.

Please note: even after the update of the App on Google Play, recheck may take up to 24 hours.

This mean that Google Play Security Notification will disappear after 24 hours or less.

Don't hesitate to contact us if any questions appear.

when submitting the new version i got this
Warning

This release is not compliant with the Google Play 64-bit requirement

The following APKs or App Bundles are available to 64-bit devices, but they only have 32-bit native code: 20.

From August 1, 2019 all releases must be compliant with the Google Play 64-bit requirement.

Include 64-bit and 32-bit native code in your app. Use the Android App Bundle publishing format to automatically ensure that each device architecture receives only the native code it needs. This avoids increasing the overall size of your app

What are you guys doing about the new 64-bit requirement?

Thanks

Hello lekha,

The issue with 'Path Traversal vulnerability' was already fixed. All you need to do is to request a new submission process for your apps and update them on Google Play Store.

If you refer to Google Play 64-bit requirement, then this is information message.

SeattleCloud Team is already working on this. We will announce on forum as soon as everything will be done.

You sill can submit apps further as the notification related 64-bit requirement do not block your submission.

Hi,

I updated my app much more than 24 hours ago but I still get the warning message "Your app contains an unsafe unzipping pattern that may lead to a Path Traversal vulnerability. Please see this Google Help Center article to learn how to fix the issue."

I'll let you know if it disappears but I thought I'd let you know.

Kind regards,

John
