2 Different versions of App vs In-App Purchasing

I looked online and through the android and apple stores about people/companies who would submit 2 different versions of their apps, being the only difference is one app is free but contains ads, and the other being a paid app which allows no ads.  I even noticed that Angry Birds has done this, and may still do it I don't know I don't play the game anymore.  But now that In-App purchasing is kind of the "trend" now that apple has going on, would apple reject submissions of apps with the 2 different types one being app free the other not for a cost, or would they rather you have an In-App purchase to where the customer can pay to have the apps eliminated?

It is up to the developer/distributor of the app to decide either to publish one paid app (adds free) and a second free app (containing adds), or to distribute the app for free and offer to the end users the possibility to remove adds by paying for this option (in-app purchase).

Hi Vadim!
I just asked this similar question in the forums. How can we remove the ads from our app using the in-app purchase (here at SC)?

Hi Louie,

This feature is not implemented yet in our system and the banners cannot be removed using In App Purchase.
