How to find iPhone/iPod touch Device ID

Locating a Unique Device ID with iTunes 7.7 or later
You can find out your device’s UDID using iTunes 7.7. or later. To do this, connect your device to your Mac or PC and launch iTunes. In iTunes, select your device in the ‘Devices’ section and navigate to the Summary tab. Click on the Serial Number label to reveal the Identifier field and the 40 character UDID. Press Command+C (Ctrl+C) to copy the UDID to your clipboard.

I do not own an iPhone or iPad -- do I need to in order to submit an app? or in order to do a binary build?

Steve Vicory

Steve,
No, you don't need to own an iPhone or iPad in order to submit an app with us. This forum post explains how to find your device ID in case you have an iPhone/iPad device and want to run your app on your device prior to submitting your app to AppStore.

two questions

I've written my application online on my computer because I do not have an iPhone. I've paid so I can get the application up.

1) How do I change the application name 'CompanyApp1' to 'Mental Strength'?
2) I have no Apple ID. How do I get it?

sincerely
Mikkel

Mikkel,

Please open a support ticket and request an application name change. See question 30 in our FAQ page to identify if your app can be submitted in our company account. If not, you will need to open your own account with Apple.
