Phonegap  is a development framework allowing for the use of native device API’s programming with Java Script, HTML and CSS that works on all the major mobile development platforms.
Skills required: JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

1. Create a new PhoneGap page.

 2. Paste your HTML/JS code in the PhoneGap page (HTML Edit Mode) and save changes:

I tested this code on my android through the SC preview application and it does not work!

Also, you site several references above. What I want to know is, is the API information found here:

http://docs.phonegap.com/en/2.0.0/index.html

applicable to this page type? (2.0.0) is the current API version. ther are several other older versions available, would a previous versions API reference be more accurate?

If none of these API references are usable, then please explain what makes this page type different then a HTML page that is loaded with Javascript (such as jquey) which I am using now for ajax functionality.

What version of PhoneGap is used in the PhoneGap page template?
PhoneGap version 1.8.0
any idea when you might be updating to use the latest 2.0 version?

i would like to know if it is possible to use Phonegap for taking pictures with the camera and then have the possibility to upload the pictures to a place from where it can be viewed within the app?

I would like to ask,
1) what is the current phonegap version that you are using?

2) also... if the version is less than 2.3, do you also offer the possibility to use phonegap's plugin childbrowser;

Was anyone able to get this sample to work on Android?

Madison, I believe it is supported in the iOS previewers but not in the Android previewers, you need to download the apk to test PhoneGap on Android.

Andrew, thanks for the response.

I paid the $200 so I could download the APK, and it still does not work :(

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

I see many posts up here claiming this works, then I see many replies from users saying it does not work?

I need to see actual CODE from you (someone that works at Seattle Clouds) that proves that it works.  I just tried your demo Phonegap code, that clearly does not work in my iPhone Preview, so that does not work.

Please show us example code, and tell us how a simple data concept such as save/restore profile data (from a user) can work.  Please make the code let someone enter the name, and save that and display it on another page. Please make sure this code works on all devices - iPhone, Android, Kindle, etc.

Can you please give us a few tiny snippets of code (1.) profile save page, and 2.) profile retrieval page) that will prove that this works?

Thank you,
-Brett
