Additional information:

C2DM (Clouds To Device Messaging) is basically Push Notifications for Android. To enable C2DM support you need to request a new build of your app and specify that you want this feature turned on at one of the steps of the submission wizard.
Currently we don't require any other configuration for C2DM (you don't need to change anything in Google Play, you don't need to upload any certificates or other files).
To send a C2DM message just go to the dashboard of your app and click on the "Push Notifications" link. You'll see a text box for the message and a button to send it.

Whoo-hoo!!

Thanks SC, you guys ROCK!!!!

:-)

Timur,

For the Android C2DM functionality, where would we create the push messages for our apps?  On SC website?  How would it work if we purchased our app for the one time fee of $250?

Also, a bit off topic here, but can you provide me with a release date for the next IOS SC previewer app? I am anxiously awaiting being able to use some of the new page types.

Thanks,

Chad

**sorry, I already answered my first question....still wondering about the 2nd one though.

Chad,

Yes you do it on SC website. I've updated the post with the instructions of how to send the message. I hope it's clear.
We also have a basic API if you want to send Push Notification from your own website. Please create a ticket and we'll help you with setting this up (don't forget to mention this forum post in the ticket).
Note that "one-time-fee" apps include only basic features and Push Notifications is not one of them. You need to have a Premium or higher plan to be able to use PN.

We've just submitted the previewer apps for iPhone and iPad. They will be released as soon as Apple approves them.

Timur,

Thank you for explaining the process.  I really appreciate you and your team's support.

-Chad
