 - RSS Feed is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format.

In order to add a RSS Feed page to your app you need to follow the steps below:

- Go to your app's Dashboard
- Access the "Edit Pages" section
- Click on "+" (Add New Page) button and select the RSS Feed page from the available list:

Once the new page is added click on "Edit" next to it in order to enter the fee url.

At the page editor you are able to change the header image by uploading into the Resource Manager the one you want to be displayed. Here you may also change the header title of the RSS Feed page.

In the RSS Url input field you need to enter a valid feed url and then click the "Apply" button to initiate the rss feed functionality.

You may find also the option to get the feed from YouTube, Word Press, Twitter or Facebook. Simply click on the icon accordingly and select the way to get feed from the certain website.

- To get the feed from YouTube, you may use either the "tag", or "SearchQuery, or by entering the YouTube User Name (see the example below):

- To get the feed from Word Press you need to copy/paste the WordPress Blog Url.

- To get the RSS feed from Twitter you need to type in the Twitter User Screen Name and click on "Get Feed" button:

- As for the Facebook source, you may use the Facebook Numeric ID and not the username:

As RSS files are essentially XML formatted plain text, the RSS file itself is relatively easily read both by automated processes and by humans alike. An example file could have contents such as the following. This could be placed on any appropriate communication protocol for file retrieval, such as http or ftp, and reading software would use the information to present a neat display to the end user.

01<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
02<rss version="2.0">

I know I can use other RSS pages and mobile page but does this page even work any more? I'm finding that it as stopped working on several apps that were previously working and there is an error code on the page instead, something like "failure to parse rss... I feel some errors occur on the SC side, possibly when things are happening with your servers and it affects some of the app pages. I say this because some of these apps were set up a while ago and I've made no changes at all but pages no longer work or have errors now.

When I try to add the twitter screen name again and click get feed, nothing happens. I have been reverting to the mobile page.

It would be great if we would receive a notice or error message ourselves when a page no longer works are is delivering an error message. Users don't always send feedback from the app when something isn't working so it could go months before the errors are noticed.
Please open a support ticket if you have any issues regarding this page type.

Is there a way that I can edit the styling of the rss feed ?
Hello Linsday,

You may use instead the RSS Pro feature.
