"Slideshow" is a native page type that allows you to view a set of images on your app. It is quite easy to use and it should bring some fresh look to your app.

In order to add the "Slideshow" page follow the step-by-step instruction below:

1) Go to your App's Dashboard

2) Add a new page to your app by clicking the "+" button.

3) Find "Slideshow" page type from the Marketplace and click "Use this page type" to add it to your application.

Since the page is added to your app, you may go ahead and upload the images to it. Click "Edit" button next to the newly added page.

Once you access the Slideshow page editor you will notice that by default there are no items mentioned, thus, you need to click "+" button to add an item to the list.

You may add pictures from the Resource Manager or you may insert the URL of the image.

If you choose to add images from Resource Manager you will have to select the file from the list and click "Choose" button to confirm your choice.

As soon as you finish adding the images to your app's Slideshow page, make sure to save the changes.

Below you may see how the slideshow page looks on a device after the app is built.

Same issue here. Crashing when trying to view the slideshow. Any plans for fixing this soon?

Hello Christian and Jason,

We have resolved the issue with the slideshow page type that was causing the app crashing. Please, note that you will be able to fully test the page as soon as the next SC app goes live. However, you may definitely request builds for your apps and once ready, the end user will not experience any crashes with the slideshow page.

Christian, there is no possibility to hide the thumbnails displayed in a slideshow page as it was initially designed to show those. However, if it is crucial for you to have this option enabled, please, open a support ticket for further assistance.

Thank you,
Ethan

Ethan:

Do I need to rebuild that page? Because, as it stands, it's still crashing on the phone.

Thanks for all you guys do...

Hello Jason,

You may simply access the slideshow page within your app and click on "Convert" button. There, select the same page type Slideshow and confirm.

In case you request a new build for your app, this page type will work perfectly now. Although you are not able to fully test it via SC app until the latest version goes live at AppStore.

Thank you,
Ethan

Do you have a ETA?  Or how long once it is placed on your list to it typically is ready to use?

However, in case it is crucial for you to have it available, I would kindly ask you to open a support ticket with us for further assistance.

Hi Ethan,

Is that possible to get the images from website / facebook directly instead of adding into my application one by one. This will eliminate a lot of maintenance work.

Thanks
-Kelvin
Sorry, Kelvin

Currently this is not available.

Regards,
Aurel
